Cox Farms Fall Festival dates, hours and tickets

The farm is at 15621 Braddock Road, Centreville, VA 20120. Use the official directions to confirm the entrance and allow extra time beyond your navigation app’s driving estimate.

  • September and October open dates: 10 a.m.–6 p.m.; last entry at 5 p.m.
  • November open dates: 10 a.m.–5 p.m.; last entry at 4 p.m.
  • Admission tiers listed for 2026: Discount $15, Value $20, Regular $25 and Peak $30.
  • Ages: everyone age two and older needs a ticket; children under 24 months enter free.

These details come from the farm’s ticket page. Ticket quantities are limited. Compare dates before promising a particular weekend to your group, and do not drive to the farm expecting to purchase admission in person. The current calendar lists September 26 and 27 as Regular days and September 28 as a Discount day; confirm availability before booking.

Build a budget before choosing a date

For a family with four ticketed visitors, the listed admission tiers produce a useful comparison:

Ticket tierFour admissionsHow to use the comparison
Discount$60Check whether an available lower-price date fits work and school
Value$80Compare the calendar with your preferred arrival time
Regular$100Budget separately for food and market purchases
Peak$120Make sure the date matters enough to justify the difference

This is admission arithmetic, not a package quote; any additional checkout charges or purchases are extra. Add your planned meal spending, transport and optional shopping before comparing the total with another outing. Saving $60 on admission may be useful, but taking unpaid time off to obtain it may not be.

Give children a clear shopping allowance before arrival. A shared family treat can keep the budget manageable without turning every food stand into a negotiation. If several households are attending, decide whether everyone buys their own tickets or one person coordinates, and verify the same date before anyone pays.

What is included, and how to pace the day

The Cox Farms FAQ describes admission that includes hayrides, slides, rope swings, the Cornundrum and Imaginature Trail, play areas, apples and cider, and a small patch pumpkin to take home. The farm explains that pumpkins are brought in from other farms; this should not be described as picking a pumpkin from a growing field.

Our suggested approach is to choose three priorities, then leave the rest optional:

  1. First activity: head toward the experience your group most wants to try after checking any posted restrictions.
  2. Middle of the visit: alternate active play with a quieter stop and a meal or snack.
  3. Final stretch: repeat a favorite activity if time and energy allow, then leave room to collect purchases and walk back to the car.

Avoid making a rigid minute-by-minute itinerary. Queue lengths, children’s confidence and weather all affect how quickly you move. Let a child watch a slide or activity before deciding whether to join in. If your group has different ages, select a clear reunion point before splitting between attractions.

Daytime festival versus Fields of Fear

Fields of Fear is the farm’s separate nighttime haunted event. The official ticket overview separates the daytime festival from this nighttime program. Do not assume a Fall Festival purchase allows you to remain for the evening program.

For younger children or anyone who dislikes startles, plan the daytime visit as a complete outing. If adults or teens want both events, price and plan them separately, including a meal, rest time and transport home. Check the nighttime event’s own restrictions before committing.

Accessibility, food and getting around

Cox Farms says the site is not entirely wheelchair accessible. Its accessibility guide distinguishes activities where visitors may remain in a wheelchair, those requiring transfer, and those requiring walking. For example, the hayride requires a transfer, while the music stage and several animal-viewing areas are listed in the remain-in-wheelchair category. The farm also describes a reduced admission option for wheelchair users.

Read that guide before selecting activities and contact the farm about the needs of your particular group. Ask about the route from parking, ground conditions, restroom locations and any assistance needed. A general family-friendly label does not tell you whether a specific attraction will work for a particular visitor.

The farm permits nonalcoholic drinks and precooked food, but does not provide food storage, according to its FAQ. If bringing a meal, plan to keep it appropriately stored and choose food that is easy to manage outdoors. Confirm ingredient or allergy questions directly with the food provider. Carry water and leave enough time for a proper break.

Rain decisions and a useful packing list

The rain policy says operational announcements are made by 7:30 a.m. and may include normal operation, a noon opening or closure. Even when the festival opens, rain can temporarily stop attractions. The policy explains that date-specific tickets cannot simply be used on another date; check the current refund and repurchase procedure if changing plans.

Check the farm’s alert before leaving home, especially after overnight rain. Pack shoes suitable for an outdoor farm visit, a weather-appropriate layer, a charged phone, wipes and a bag for dirty clothing. Bring a spare outfit for young children if it will make the drive home more comfortable. Keep ticket barcodes accessible without relying on an inbox search at the entrance.

Questions before you book

Is a cheaper ticket missing some attractions?

The farm says its ticket tiers include the same attractions. The price difference is based on the selected date. Individual operations can still be affected by weather or other conditions.

Can you leave and return?

The FAQ permits reentry with a valid admission wristband and notes that staff may also ask for your ticket voucher or receipt. Keep both available and follow the designated entrance procedure.
